Casey Stoner won at Phillip Island

As has been predicted beforesmile_wink, Casey Stoner emerges as champion in the Circuit Phillip Island Australia. For Stoner this was his third title in a row that he achieved at Phillip Island circuit.

The second position is occupied driver Yamaha, Valentino Rossi. With this result, Rossi getting closer to world title. Rossi admitted he did not insist on appearing as the champion in Australia after falling out Jorge Lorenzo in the early laps due touched with Nicky Hayden.

Now, points distance between Rossi and Lorenzo is 38. In addition, MotoGP 2009 leaves two series again.

“The number 20 is very important point in the struggle for the title. Now I have 38 numbers advantage, and there are still two races left. I will try to perform even better in Sepang later,” Rossi said, as reported by Autosport.

“Not easy to catch Casey because he’s got a good rhythm on the front. However, I am also having a good setting engine. So, I tried to keep 100 percent followed by remembering to not make mistakes for points in the standings, since Lorenzo had an accident,” says Rossi.
