Telegram Web is a convenient way to access your Telegram chats through a browser, but constant notifications can sometimes be overwhelming, especially if you’re part of several active groups or channels. Fortunately, Telegram Web provides an option to mute notifications for specific chats, giving you control over what demands your attention. Here’s how you can mute notifications for individual chats:
Step 1: Open Telegram Web
Begin by opening Telegram Web in your preferred browser. Log in to your account if you haven’t already done so.
Step 2: Select the Chat
Navigate to the chat list on the left side of the screen and click on the chat for which you want to mute notifications.
Step 3: Access Chat Settings
Once the chat is open, click on the contact, group, or channel name at the top of the chat window to access the chat settings.
Step 4: Mute Notifications
In the chat settings, you will find a toggle switch for notifications. Disable this toggle to mute notifications for the chat.
Choosing Mute Duration
Telegram Web allows you to mute notifications for a specific duration, such as 1 hour, 8 hours, 2 days, or indefinitely. Select the duration that best fits your needs.
Step 5: Confirm Your Selection
After selecting the mute duration, confirm your choice. The chat will now be muted for the specified time, and you will no longer receive pop-up notifications for new messages in that chat.
Unmuting Notifications
If you decide to unmute notifications, simply follow the same steps and enable the toggle switch for notifications in the chat settings.
