If you’re looking to adjust how much of your CPU is being used, you typically have a few ways to control it:
- Adjust Power Mode: Go to Start > Settings > System > Power & Battery, then select a power mode that suits your needs. Some modes prioritize performance, while others save battery. If this setting isn’t available, check Control Panel under System and Security > Power Options, and select a Balanced power plan.
- Limit CPU Usage via Task Manager: If you want to restrict CPU usage for specific apps, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), go to the Details tab, right-click the process, and adjust its CPU affinity or priority.
- Use Advanced Power Options: Open Control Panel, navigate to Power Options, and customize the processor power management under advanced settings. This lets you set a max CPU usage percentage.
