Some Vehicles That Have Installed Oil Separation System

Most factory vehicles do not come with an oil catch can installed by default. Automakers typically rely on the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system to manage blow-by gases, rather than incorporating a separate catch can. However, some high-performance and specialty vehicles may include oil separation systems that function similarly to an oil catch can.

Examples of Factory-Installed Oil Separation Systems

  • Ford Mustang GT500 – Some models feature an integrated oil separator to reduce carbon build-up.
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – Uses an oil separator system to manage blow-by gases in high-performance applications.
  • Dodge Hellcat Models – Some versions include an oil separator to improve engine longevity.
  • BMW M Series – Certain M models have built-in oil separation systems to enhance performance.
  • Mercedes-AMG Performance Models – Some AMG engines incorporate oil separation technology to reduce intake contamination.

While these systems are not traditional oil catch cans, they serve a similar purpose by preventing excessive oil vapors from entering the intake system.
